In Minecraft 1.5.2 and earlier versions, Basic Components was a Universal Electricity (UE) core mod to be served as an entry mod for Universal Electricity. Basic Component's goal was to provide players with some basic utilities to allow UE mods to use a common recipe and provide basic ore generation and adds in several new blocks and items.
It was a mod that was required in Galacticraft 1. Since Galacticraft 2, this dependency has been removed.
