The Heavy Aluminum Wire is an upgraded wire that is made by adding one wool and one Aluminum Ingot to a standard Aluminum Wire giving you a larger wire. In Galacticraft 3 it is an important part of the Tier 2 energy system. It is also one of the crafting ingredients used to make an Advanced Solar Panel.

In original Galacticraft (Galacticraft 1) when the mod was integrated with other Universal Electricity mods, the Heavy Aluminum Wire had a resistance value of 25.0 Ohms and maximum amps of 400.0 kiloamperes - that's half the Resistance and double the Max Amps rating compared to a standard Aluminum Wire. These electrical numbers have no meaning in later versions of Galacticraft. Galacticraft 3 has replaced that with a simple Tier 1 or Tier 2 energy system, which is equivalent to 120V or 240V when converted to other mods' energy systems.
